St. David Catholic Elementary School students got crafty for their dads last week.
Kindergarten to Grade 8 students had the chance to create tool boxes for their dad’s on June 7 in celebration of Father’s Day on June 18 thanks to more than 500 kits donated by the Home Depot’s 350 Centennial Pkwy. location. The St. David Ontario Early Years Centre site’s preschoolers also got the opportunity to make boxes in honour of the occasion.
“The kids were so excited to be able to do something like this,” said kindergarten educator Patricia Bifano, who helped organize the initiative. “They got to use tools they never use and got to work with their reading buddies, which was fantastic. Thank goodness for Home Depot for putting it together.”
